The Challenge
Togo Union UK represents French West African diaspora families in the Greater London area. The association had a vibrant, growing youth population eager to learn about their cultural heritage, understand their family origins, and engage in constructive community activities.
However, the association was run by dedicated volunteers who had limited formal fundraising training. They struggled to translate their strong community goodwill into fundable grant bids.
Our Advisory Approach
Recognising Charity Grants HQ's deep understanding of minority ethnic community groups, the trustees approached Elisha Fiador for ongoing capacity building and proposal development.
Elisha engaged directly with trustees, parents, and youth volunteers to conduct grassroots need assessments. Together, they designed structured youth projects with action plans, risk assessments, and monitoring frameworks. Elisha then supported the board in identifying sympathetic charitable trusts and submitting targeted applications.
